I have to take issue with
one example cited in this article, entitled “After a flurry of stimulus spending, questionable projects pile up”
This was included with “questionable” stimulus projects:
- $219,000 for Syracuse University to study the sex lives of freshman women. (!)
That’s questionable?!?!?!?!?! HOW?!?!?!?!!?
One of the most valuable studies I ever administered in my life was when I - as an inquisitive freshman myself - spent $219 at The University of Nebraska to study the sex lives of freshman women! What I found was invaluable and a bit of a bellwether for my later studies as well - the freshman women were having very, very little sex I discovered!
But if only I’d had $219,000 for my study! Imagine! I think I would’ve found freshman women who were having a ton of sex!!!
